Hometown Hero - True Champions in the Community

The Hometown Hero award always brings out the waterworks.  A local person is chosen to be the Hometown Hero, someone who not only works full time but also volunteers faithfully and often.  Their dedication is usually unsung, and we honor this person at one of our weekly meetings.  It’s always a surprise, a ruse is formed to get them there, and often a tear or several are shed.  Unsung heroes always want to remain that way…we make sure they get the recognition they deserve.
